Faster Evergreen Deliveries Start in July

tree onlyi.pngStarting this month, the Kendallville Public Library will begin receiving an Evergreen Indiana delivery every day of the week! This means that you should receive any books, audio books or DVDs that you’ve placed on hold even faster.

If you’re new to placing items on hold, we can help! We’ve created a series of brief Evergreen Indiana tutorial videos, including one specifically for requesting an item through the online catalog. Find the tutorials at our website ( under Online Resources.

Remember, you can place holds on books and audio books from any Evergreen Indiana Library, but there are exceptions. Some new items may be under a three or six month age protection, meaning they can’t circulate out of their home library until that time is up. You can still place a hold, but you may not receive them right away. Many libraries, like the Kendallville Public Library, are circulating their DVD collections as well, but not all have chosen to do so. If you attempt to reserve a DVD, but it indicates that the hold was not placed, that’s the reason.

To ensure that you receive notifications when your items arrive in Kendallville or Rome City, please verify that your account’s phone number and email address are up-to-date (we have a video tutorial on how to do that online, as well).

The amount of Evergreen Indiana items moving to and from the Kendallville Public Library is can tell that our patrons really love this service! Out of the 111 libraries currently part of Evergreen Indiana, the Kendallville Public Library ranked 14th for the total number of transits. We have hovered around this ranking for several years, so thanks for your support! Remember, the ability to transfer DVDs through Evergreen is a pilot program right now, so if you love it, use it!
