Nature Photography Winners Announced

A total of 24 amateur nature photos competed for top prizes in the annual Limberlost Public Library Nature Photography Contest.

Due to the relatively small amount of entries, the contest prizes awarded were different from what was previously announced. With the blessing of the contest participants, three top prizes were awarded overall. Traditionally, the contest has been broken down into age groups, and then by type of photo and subject matter.

Randy Jackson was honored with the Best of Show Award – First Place for his beautiful black and white photo titled “Smoky Mountain Curve.” He also won the People's Choice Award.

Rhonda Parker ran away with the Best of Show Second and Third Place prizes. She was awarded the Second Place prize for her entry, “I’m So Pretty,” while her photograph “Sunset on a Pier” was awarded the Third Place prize.

The first place winner received a $50 cash prize. The second place winner received a $25 cash prize, while the third place photograph earned a $15 cash prize. The People's Choice Award winner also received a $15 cash prize.
