The last time we conducted our READ (Reading, Eduction and Discovery) fundraising campaign was back in 2020. Then, we began the letter to supporters with “The Kendallville Public Library is engaging with the community like never before.” Little did we know then how even more true that would be now!
Every day we strive to bring new initiatives to our community to improve the quality of life for those around us. We’re partnering with local organizations to deepen the impact we have on the people we serve. We live here, we work here, and we are doing all we can to help the area thrive.
Our donors have recognized the work we are doing, and really came through this year. So far we have received donations totalling $3,175 earmarked to a variety of programs at the Kendallville Public Library. THANK YOU!

In addition to passes to Science Central and the Botanical Conservatory, KPL has added a Family Pass to the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum in Auburn. This pass is good for up to 2 adults at the same address and their dependent children.
In the museum, most of the cars are drivable and many are in carefully-restored condition. The museum has a state-of-the-art Collections Conservation Center that was completed in 2015 to support the care and preservation of this priceless collection.
Plan your visit at https://automobilemuseum.org/ and reserve the pass here.
Looking for something fancy like Beef Wellington? Or how about something simple like air fried veggies?
Find it all in the Kendallville Public Library's 2021 Community Cookbook! You'll find dozens of recipes in the categories of Appetizers and Snacks, Soups, Salads, Pasta, Beef, Chicken, Seafood, and Desserts. The recipes were submitted by folks all around the community...some who love to cook, and some who have recipes that have been passed down from generation to generation.
You'll notice an icon on some recipes that indicates there's an item from KPL's Library of Things that you can use! Sometimes it's an air fryer, an Instant Pot, silicone models, cookie cutters and more.
You can pick up a paper copy in the library, or download it here.
The Kendallville Public Library now has Notary Service available.
A Notary Public is an individual commissioned by the State of Indiana to serve as an impartial witness and fraud deterrent for legally significant documents such as property deeds, marriage licenses and adoption papers. Notaries defer fraud by verifying individuals’ identity and ensuring that all parties understand the contents of the documents they sign.
Schedule an appointment with Notary Michelle Herron by calling 343-2010 or emailing her at mherron@kendallvillelibrary.org. There is no cost for this service.
Michelle Herron is not an attorney licensed to practice law in Indiana. She is not allowed to draft legal records, give advice on legal matters, including immigration or charge a fee for these activities.
